Jakub Niedziela was born in 1986 in Krosno, Poland. He works in various traditional and digital techniques, such as collage, oil painting, calligraphy, digital art and photography, and visual poetry. The thread of Niedziela’s inspirations runs from the realm of unreal libraries, through the space of book, to the pool of scripts, words, text, and language -- revealing his love for juxtapositions of metaphorical meanings, mythologization of reality, and mysterious kind of beauty. His main artistic activities -- apart from working as a graphic designer and editorial assitant -- include commissioned work illustrating volumes of poetry and digital literature productions, making layouts, book covers, and lettering. Recent destinations on Niedziela’s creative path include the domains of asemic writing, minimalism, glitch art, conceptualism, as well as laying foundations for his digital imaginarium project -- “Library of White Books” -- intended as an archive and a lab of personal mythology.
